the Manor House weddings

Nestled alongside the Cotswold village of Castle Combe village, The Manor House is an idyllic location for a celebration to remember for the rest of your life. Weddings, christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements all deserve raising a glass to in our outstanding country house hotel.

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, just outside the quintessentially English village of Castle Combe, lies Euridge House and Orangery. We are an exclusive self-catering venue now available for weddings, parties, corporate retreatsphotoshoots and filming.

Our enchanting countryside sanctuary sits amid 450 acres of private grounds, featuring Georgian-style architecture, sparkling water features, evergreen palm trees, a crumbling castle, exquisite topiary, rose gardens, lawns, cloisters, archways, a thatched boat house – and so much more. Ours is a space for escaping the everyday, for celebrating the extraordinary, and for watching the magic unfold.
This is what dreams are made of.

The Roman Baths is one of the most unusual and romantic locations in the country for a wedding and truly magical at sunset.

Steeped in thousands of years of history, this beautifully preserved Roman site is a multi-award winning museum by day and in the evening offers the most tranquil location for a wedding.

The steaming waters and the flickering torches of the Great Bath provide an unparalleled setting for a wedding ceremony. At 7:30pm, Sunset ceremonies take place at the water’s edge, and are followed by drinks around the Roman ruins. Celebrations then continue upstairs, with dinner on the pretty Terrace, followed by dancing in the magnificent Reception Hall with it’s soaring vaulted ceiling. For larger celebrations, you may hire the elegant Pump Room for your reception.

The romantic orangery and gardens of Hamswell House make the ultimate setting for your wedding. Historic Hamswell House is surrounded by 50 acres of gardens and private land with breathtaking panoramic views. The venue is situated in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the border of Somerset and Gloucestershire near Bath and Bristol and is easily accessible from the M4. The venue is exclusively yours for the day.

Grittleton-House-Logo

Grittleton House is owned by the Shipp family and has been in their careful hands for more than 50 years.  With its impressive tree lined drive it certainly offers the wow factor as you arrive.  Step inside and you will find many beautiful features and exquisite architecture, including the high decorative ceilings, working fire places and breath-taking sweeping staircase.  Look a little closer and you may spot the secret doors and hidden passageways.

I’m often asked what makes Grittleton House different and special?  Of course its style and grandeur play a large part, but it is also quite simply family!  We love the house and know it inside and out, and we love sharing it.  Flexibility is also key, we are always thrilled when couples come up with new ideas we haven’t thought of before.
